SU2 is a 16-channel summing unit that replaces the SU1. It has two inserts, one parallel with a dedicated blend-control and one main-insert after the outputtransformer. The unit also has separate outputs for monitors with it’s own level-control. Channel 1-8 are switchable as dual-mono or stereo pairs, while channel 9-16 are grouped as four fixed stereo pairs. To enable insertion of outboard gear between the DAW (or DA converters) and the SU2, each channel features a -10dB pad switch, ensuring the outboard gear interfaces at proper levels. SU2s signalpath is a fully discrete circuit design with six discrete amplifiers and two single-ended transformer balanced class-A amplifiers.
